On this side you will find a list of japanese male solo artists. There is many amazing solo artists that don't get a lot of international attention so I thought about making this list in hope you find someone on here you might like too. The list is in alphabetic order.

personal note: I really like the music of 3House, it's usually very slow, layback music with a nice flow and beat to it. Definitly my cup of tea. His song "Familia" is one of my absolute favorite songs. You can find all of his music on Spotify.

personal note: I love many of his songs. His music is very badass and  often has a freakin' awesome beat.

personal note: Hata Motohiro has undeniable a beautiful and soothing voice. I like to listen to his music once in a while.

personal note: When I first got to know him I wasn't much interessted in him and never really gave his music a try but later he drastically chnged his style and when he released "Story of Our Live" I fell for his voice head over heels. His voice is not only very beautiful but transfers so many emotions. There is some songs of him I could cry when listening to, e.g. "Hajimari no Uta". After I fell for his voice I listend to his old music too and while I don't like everything I have to admit that he always released some extremly nice songs.

personal note: He is not only a good singer but a good music writer too. He wrote songs for groups like w-inds. and GOT7. I really like his voice and his songs are often very addicting to me.

personal note: I love his song SUN and KOI is an amazing song too. Despite that there is only a few other songs of him that I like but to be honest I never really gave him much of a listen. If you think I should, please write in the comments which songs you would suggest.

personal note: He has a beautiful voice and released some pretty awesome songs but so far I haven't gotten to really know his music. Maybe I should listen to some of his albums and see if I like his other stuff too.

personal note: He is one of my all time favorite artists. He voice is extremly beautiful, I always get goosebumps when listening to him and I love the music he writes. I love listening to his albums a lot. Sadly he is not really releasing a lot. He is way too underrated. Such a talanted and awesome person.

personal note:  I can't believe it's nearly 8 years since I fell in love with him. I knew him before that but when he released "The Answer" I fell for him really hard. I still remember that I thought the music video is so freakin' bad but the song so totaly made up for it. This song is still my favorite of him but over the years he released a huge amount of incredibly good songs. His vocals are pretty perfect and he is an incredible dancer. If you never heard anything of him, you have to right now.

personal note: His music is not really my cup of tee and most of the time he sings really high. If he wouldn't sing so high I guess I would enjoy his music much more. There is a handful of songs of him I do enjoy a lot but there is also a lot I can't really stand, therefor the low rating. Luckily taste is different so maybe you like him better.

personal note: I love his voice, his music style since I first listend to SLOW DOWN. His first two EPs are perfect, I love every single song on them. His Blue album didn't get me as much but the releases after this were giving me goosebumps once again.

Active since: 2011 (was in a band from 2000 - 2010)

personal rating: 3.5/5
personal note:  Nakada Yuji has been in the music indusrtry for quite a while already. The band he was a part of before was called "Tsubakiya Shijuso". His music style is very specific so I guess you either like it or don't. I personally like his "thickness" album a lot.

[Ozaki Hiroya]

personal note:  Ozaki Hiroya is the son of Ozaki Yutaka who is a music legend in Japan. His father died at the young age of only 26 leaving back his, at that time, only two years old son and his wife. Therefor he didn't had it easy when debuting in the music scene. Many people compared him to his father and while there might be some similarities in the voice, Hioyas music style is of course different. I really do like his music but he is not very active and haven't released much yet. I honestly wish him all the best for his music, if that is what he really wants to do.

personal note: Whenever I listen to his music I get "Ed Sheeren"-vibes. It sometimes happens to me that when I put my music on shuffle I mistake him for Ed Sheeren when he sings only english in the beginning of a song. XD It's not even that they have the exact same voice but their songs have a similiar style sometimes. Whatever I really love his music and his voice is extremly beautiful. I absolutly recommend checking him out.

personal note: I really enjoy a lot of his music. He has a very sexy voice and his songs tend to be sexy too. However I want to admit that I don't listen much to him, even thought I like his music.

personal note: I really like his voice. He has been in the Vocal Battle Audition 4 and was able to make it to the semi-finals. He released one or two cds but his official website hasn't been updated since the end of 2016. However he is still active on twitter so I will link this side instead.

personal note: His music reminds me of music by Mukai Taichi. It feels fresh and fun and I really like it. I am looking forward to his career because there definitly is potential.

[Shimizu Shota]

personal note: Shimizu Shota has one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard. He can transfer emotions very well and can make you melt with his stuning vocals. Besides that he is a very talented music writer and composer. He is producing most of his music on his own and he is very good in what he is doing. Sadly since a few years he is into using autotune and therefor some of his songs nowadays song very mechanical. I love his music anyways but I hope he will get back to his old singing one day.

personal note: This guy is one adorable person. Some of his songs are awesome and some have some kind of style I am not too much into. It's not even because it's rock music, I do like rock music quite a lot but it's something about the way he sing these songs. Well it's hard for me to describe. Nevertheless there are songs of him I like a lot and since taste is different I am sure many other people will like what I don't.

personal note: SIRUP is definitley way to underrated. Even when he was still singing as KYOtaro he would have deserved so much more attention. He always has a unique style to his music and his songs never sound similiar to each other. His music is quite versatile. His vocals are really good and he writes most of his songs on his own. Definitly check him out.

personal note: I have always been a huge fan of his acting. In my opinion he is one of the best actors of his generation. However when I found out he is releasing music I wasn't expecting it to be very good. So I was pleasantly suprised when I listend to his debut song which is really good. Also all the other songs are definitly to my liking and I am quite amazed by him being such a good singer. He seems to have a lot of fun making music since he is releasing a lot already.

personal note: I don't like all of his songs but the ones I like I do like A LOT. I love his voice that has a special sound to it I would recognize under hundreds. My favorite song is always going to be 
"(Where's) THE SILENT MAJORITY?" but there is many good songs of him I would recommend you to listen to.

personal rating: 2.5/5
personal note: He was a member of Presi-D which I like and follow. His voice is nice but not overwhelming. I bought his digital releases but his songs didn't get me at all. The songs are not bad but I am sure he could do better but for now he only get's this low of a rating. If he releases better songs I will change it.

personal note: I am deeply in love with his song "One More Time, One More Chance" which was released back in 1997. Despite this song I am not really listening to his music. There is some other nice songs of him but yeah I mostly only listen to this one song of him.
