[Fan Report] Family Fes 2020 ~Shimizu Shota Birthday Live~

Yes another report. While I was in Japan I went to severel lives again and maybe this time will actuelly write about more then just two. We will see. So right now I wanna share my expirience of this live with you.
Seeing Shimizu Shota live has been a dream of mine since years already but somehow I never managed to travel to Japan at the right time, didn't get a ticket or it just wasn't possible for whatever reason. However this year I finally got a ticket to a concert of his and I was super happy about it.
As you can see this was a Family Fes, means he is not the only one to perform but there was also Mirei Touyama, Thelma Aoyama and Miliyah Kato performing at this concert.
I was super lucky with my ticket 'cause I got a pretty good number and since this was a suprisingly small venue I had an awesome standing place and could see everything and everyone on stage super well.

Before the actual concert started was the performance of the opening act called "Oshiro Miyu". I didn't knew her before but she has a stuning and powerful voice and she was a little weird too but in a very cute and funny way. She sang three songs and then the main concert started.
The first one to perform was Mirei Touyama. I do like her music and her song "Negai ~Ano Koro no Kimi He~" is one of my favorite songs of all time. That's also the song she started of with and guys I wasn't prepared for what happend with me. I can't deny that I sometimes cry at concerts when the voices are very beautiful and the songs emotional, then maybe one one or two tears fall down my cheeks but when she started sining this song with her unbeliveble beautiful and strong voice the tears just kept falling. Never in my live did I cry so much at a concert. I guess it was a mix of the song that is super emotional already and her voice that sounds 1000 times better live and maybe also the fact that I was finally at a concert of Shimizu Shota. I don't remember which other songs she sang but she did well with every single one. Oh wait I do remember she sang "Dear My Boo" as the last song. It's a song originaly of Shimizu Shota that she transformed into her own version.
The next artist was Aoyama Thelma. On a side not it's so cute how the fans pronounce her name "Teruma". They screamed it so much when she came on stage, it was so freakin adorable. Also I never really paid much attention to her but guess what she got a new fan now. First of her songs were so much fun to listen to and the whole performance of her was amazing. Secondly and mainly the reason she got me as a fan now is that this little woman is such a cute, funny and lovely person. She interacted a lot with the fans and did many jokes, some that even I understood (even thought my japanese is so poor). She also performed severel songs, some of them were "Onigiri", "Boom Shakalaka'" and "Sekai no Chuushin".
Next one was Miliyah Kato. I used to really love her music until like 2008/9 but then her style slowly started to change and I got unintrested. Taste is different so I know a lot of people love her music nowadays and I am happy seeing she has many fans that support her. Even thought I didn't now the songs she sang, besides one old song, I still enjoyed her performance. Oh and I know she sang her latest song "Sayonara" because they did show some advertising before the live started and one was for her latest single. I do like this song quite a bit, it has a special feeling to it.
After She left the stage it was finally time for Shimizu Shota and guys I couldn't stop smiling. I just love him. His voice is so beautiful and he had a nice presence on stage. And you know what I could sing along to all of his songs, I am usually really bad with this. XD He played a LOT of songs and I loved all his performances. Sometimes he had dancers with him on stage and sometimes he performed on his own. At one point he allowed us to take a photo of him but first we had to look down and when we told us to look up that's what we saw.

Can you see him??

Yes he hid under the keyboard. XD That was too cute, he had so much fun playing a prank on us. XD
That was so freakin cute. After his performance he went backstage and the fans started to shout for an encore. The encore was pretty awesome. He performed one song with each of the other artists and at least they all sang "Home" together, which, in case you guys don't know, is the debut song of Shimizu Shota. I absolutly loved this performance.
This whole concert was so good and even thought I had high expactations I enjoyed it even more then I thought I would be. I hope to one day have another chance to see him live again and maybe some of the other artists too. By the way something else I really liked about this concert as well, was the fans. There were much more "older" people on this concert. Well I oftern go to "idol" concerts and these are mostly crowded with high school girls. However you could feel the difference. There were many couples and in general much more man. Also I heard how some fans talked with each other being like "Where do you come from?" "I came from Kyoto." "Wow!" and stuff like that. Maybe I got to listen to the cute fans only but honestly that was so adorable.
This whole concert was an amazing expiriance and hope I was able to transfer some of my excitement and if you didn't knew some of these artists, hopefully you will check them out now.
Thank you for reading!!

My JPop year 2019

2019 was overall a great year for me and music definitly played a big part in it, I have to admit though that I listend to a lot of other music besides jpop. Most of my playlist is still japanese music but a lot of english, some korean, some chinese and some thai music found it's way on my playlist and there were some I badly love and played on repeat for weeks. Let's go in detail with what I liked best this year when it comes to japanese music. The start is a list of the songs I absolutly loved that have been released this year.

Battle Boys Fukuoka - 1000 km (this is by far my favorite Battle Boys song ever)
Amezari Red Stars - Be Alright (couldn't find it online)
SIRUP - Eien (towa) ni (sadly I couldn't find this online but if you have the chance please listen to it, it's so freakin' good, much better then the originial!!)

Of course these are not the only songs I loved the most this year, there have been a few albums I enjoyed pretty much all songs of, so I listed them extra. I did write a little about the album but I didn't link every single song but I did add a spotify link to the albums.

HARUMI - MAKE A DIFFERENCE

I wrote about this album before. I really love all the song on this so freakin' much. Her voice is super powerful and strong and she delivers the emotions in some of the songs so well. My absolute favorites are "Don't Break My Heart" and "DARE ME" but all the songs are so good. For only 5 songs this 'mini' album also has a good mix of songs. Absolutly recommended!!

_PRIZMAX_ - FRNKSTN

DANCE was the first song of this album that got uploaded to youtube. I loved it right away, thought now it's my least favorite song on the album. I honestly didn't knew what to expect of this album with the new members. I was so supprised that this is such a good album. All the songs are freakin' amazing up beat songs fully sung in english. By the way my absolute favorite of them is "WHO".

Mukai Taichi - 27; Mukai Taichi - Savage

I am a huge fan of Mukai Taichi. Not only is his voice really beautiful but I tend to really enjoy the style of his music. As you can see he released two albums this year. I would consider '27' to be a mini album since it has only 7 songs, thought Savage has only 11 songs as well. However what is most important is the music and guys you have to listen to this if you liked any of his music before.
I recommend all of the songs but it seems like I listend to ICBU and I very much recommend I Like it, thought honestly if you have some time do listen to all of his music, maybe you will love it as much as I do.

Sakudara Dori - Sakura da Festa BEST

Whenever I think about listening to this album I am like, naaahh this wasn't that good but then I listen to it and I love it so much each time. I don't know why I always think this way, maybe because Sakurada Dori will always be more of an actor then a singer to me or maybe a little bit because this cover looks so not like an album cover. However that doesn't matter because the songs on this album are amazing and I love that the style of music is very versatile. You will get everything from a slow songs, to a rock songs, to a song that gives happy summer vibes, to a badass song and more. I can't even name a favorite this time, I love the songs equally.

Super Dragon - 2nd Emotion

This is probably the album I listened to the most this year. After I went to two of their concerts of the Emotions tour back in March, I couldn't stop replaying this album for a long time. The songs on this album are seriously so good. My number one being 'Paya Paya' also because I love the dance but all the others are so damn good too. I even love the remixes and I uselly don't like remixes a lot. If you haven't listend to it, you should do it soon.

AKLO - REGULAR

I was so excited when AKLO announced to finally release a new album this year. I dig his three albums he released before as well as the collaboration album with Jay'ed so much. To be honest it took me a little to fully appreciate this album but I do now and if you like Rap you will love this as well, thought I would always recommend his older work more over this one. It's a great album anyway. My favorites are definitly 'Addicted' and 'WFN'.

INTERSECTION - INTERSECTION

I love these guys music since they released their debut song 'Heart of Gold'. They have the typical boy group sound, with some nice voices and addicting beats. I love singing along to their songs. When this got released I didn't expect to like all the songs on the album but I was so wrong. Each and every song on this got me so bad. All songs have this super addicting part that makes you want to sing along so bad and you will get them stuck in your head many times. Absolutly recommended!

Chanmina - Never Grow Up

If you like her music and style you will most likely love this album too. I especially love 'Call', 'Never Grow Up' and 'Like This'. To be fair I don't love all the songs on this album but most of them are really good so I decided to post it under the albums too.

DEVIL NO ID - Devillmatic

This album is so different to what I usually listen to. This whole album feels so messy but it works so well as a whole and even though all the songs have their specific sound it doesn't feel like one is sticking out more then the others. I don't know how to explain the music these three girls created. I just now I very much enjoy it! Give it a try if you haven't listend to any of their songs and if you might not like a song try out another one because they are quite different from each other. By the way I do love all the songs on this album.

Besides the new songs my new discovery of this year is "Official Hige Dandizumu". They are an indie rock group and their music is amazing. I bought three of their albums on itunes and so far I do enjoy them a lot. Another group I discoverd is "Novelbright", gosh they are awesome too, they are also an indie rock group. Besides these two I got very much into the group "NORD". I don't like all of their music, some is just too messy for me but I love some of their songs badly, especially the song 'Mirai'. Then I got more into the music of "CUBERS", I don't think the songs are super outstanding but they are really nice listening to and whenever a song of them get's played when I use the shuffle mode, I am very plesantly supprised to see it's on of their songs.

What are your favorites of 2019? Did you discover any groups you didn't knew before?

My Top 10 Favorite Male Solo Artists

Today I wanna share my top 10 list of japanese male solo artists with you. There is a good amount of solo male artists I listen to and if your favorite one is not on this list, I might still like to listen to him. I hope you will like these artists too and have fun checking out this list.

#10 Yamashita Tomohisa

Favorite Songs: Dreamer, Reason, You Make Me, I Texas, Your Step, Love Chase

Example:

Back when YamaP was still in NEWS I already liked him and always liked his voice, thought no one could ever beat Masu. After leaving NEWS I started to like YamaP even more. Sounds weird right!? The thing is that I really like his solo music and I got more interessted in him when he started to really go solo. I like nearly his whole discography a lot. I do like him as an actore as well. I know many people think he is way too overrated and maybe he is overrated. His acting is decent but I enjoy it and for his singing it actually is good and the music he releases is good. I also think dispite being so popular he is quite down to earth. This was kinde messy... at least I just want to say that I really like his music and enjoy listening to him.

#09 Daichi Miura

Favorite Songs: The Answer, Cry & Fight, U, Perfect Day Off, Garasubin

Example:

Back in August 2010 Daichi Miura released his single "The Answer" and that was the time I deeply fell in love with his music. This song is still one of my absolute favorites of him. Thought over the years he proofed again and again how talanted of an singer he is. I love so many of his songs a lot and enjoy his music videos so much because besides being an amazing vocal talent he is an extremly good dancer too. He is pretty popular already and I hope he can gain more and more popularity couse he deserves it.

#08 Akanishi Jin

Favorite Songs: Mi Amor, Miss California, All About You, Shine, Fill Me Up

Example:

The first time I actuelly liked one of his solo songs was when he released Mi Amor at the end of 2014. Up until today I haven't really listend to any of his songs before that time. My favorite albums of him are "Me" and "Blessed" and I still listen to these two on a daily basis. Most of the time his music is nothing deep, it's simply music you enjoy without thinking much. I do like this because the lyrics are simple and so are the beats. Most of the time I love the rythem of the songs. Most of his music feels like summer to me, fresh, simple, with a relaxing flow and his undeniable beautiful voice. Of course there are exceptions but there are rather less of them. Besides I am not a fan of him as a person, because of KAT-TUN I got to know him a little but never really liked him and until this day I still don't really like him BUT his music is awesome so whatever.

#07 ReN

Favorite Songs: Shake Your Body, Aurora, Live Safer, Sonzai Shoumei, Umbrella, What I'm Feeling

Example:

Whenever I listen to ReN I have Ed Sheeran in my head. They have a similar style of music and I personally love this style SO much. (I am a huge fan of Ed Sheerans music as well!) ReN has an very beautiful voice and besides his first album, that I am not so much into, I love pretty much all his releases up until today. He is still way to underrated and I hope he can gain much more popularity. It's hopefully a good start that he changed to Warner Music Japan just recently.

#06 Shimizu Shota

Favorite Songs: Dream, Home, Snow Smile, ByexBye, Kimi ga Suki

Example:

Who knows me an this blog since a while now, might know that Shimizu Shota has been my favorite solo artist for a long time. He still takes an important place in my heart but I am fed up with all the auto-tune he uses, not only on cds but even at his concerts. He has a beautiful voice and I love so many of his songs and while I still love him a lot I can't deny that others took over his place because I enjoy their music so much more now. It's not that I don't like his recent music but I prefer his old music and wish he would try making music without auto-tune again. However I will keep suporting him forever and for now I mostly listen to his good old song and there are many.

#05 Hirai Dai

Favorite Songs: Hajimari no Uta, Story of Our Life, Life is Beautiful, Sounds Like A Love Song, Song For Two, Slow & Easy, Beautiful Lane

Example:

I am so much in love with his extremly beautiful voice. He is one of the rare singer I know that are able to transfere emotions within a recorded song. For example when I listend to "Hajirmari no Uta" for the first time I started to cry. That's so not me but this song delivers so many feelings and that paired with his stunning voice got me tear up. Nowadays I am not crying anymore listening to the song but I still get the chills. Besides this song he released so many more extremly good songs and I get excited whenever he releases something new. Something else I love a lot is that he is writing the lyrics and music of pretty much all of his songs on his own. That always makes me like an artist so much more.

#04 Mhiro (former known as Mihiro)

Favorite Songs: Baby I Love U, Kimi ga Ireba feat. Ms OOJA, Tsunami, Kimi Iro Omoi, Zutto... dear Mama & Papa, I Want A Better Me, Sayonara no Mae ni, Makes Me Right, Crushed, Ai no Kotoba ~True Story~, Saiai, Wireless, Change For You

Example:

To be honest I can't even remember anymore when I started to listening to him, I just now it's been  MANY years ago. Even though he has been active for so long, he is still isn't that well known and that makes me incredible sad because he is so talanted and it's a pleasure listening to his voice. Also because of not being so well known he isn't releasing new stuff a lot. That makes me even more sad. Please check out his music!

#03 Mukai Taichi

Favorite Songs: Konomama, Ego, SlowDown, Can't Wait Anymore, Reset, Fly, Malibu, Hero, Break Up, Agony, Answer feat. KREVA, Pure, Crazy, Kimi no Kiss Shite, Furusato, Thinking About You

Example:

I am so glad I found him around the time he released the Slow Down music video because that's the song that made me fell for him. I played this song so many times back then and until today still love to play it. After falling in love with his 2nd mini album I had to get the first one too, which is amazing as well and all the following releases never disapointed me. Thought it took me a little to absolutly love his album "Blue". His music is awesome and his music videos are freaking good nowadays as well. Definitly check him out if you haven't so far.

#02 SIRUP (former known as KYOtaro)

Favorite Songs: Rain, Do Well, Loop, LMN, Isshun, Synapse, WILYWNKA x SIRUP - Stay, Yosa Taar - Fever feat. SIRUP, Shin Sakiura - Cruisin feat. SIRUP, SWIM, Last Dance, Dancer, Heart Beat, Tower feat. erie

Example:

SIRUP is one of the artists I got to know through JPop Amino back when he was still called KYOtaro. I am super happy I found him through the app because I love his music so much. He has this special sound and flow to him that I absolutly love. I am so much looking forward to the new songs on his album that will be released at the end of May.
Another reason he got the second spot in this list is that I saw him live this year and kinde fell for him. XD He is such a lovely, funny and cute person on stage and his singing is so much more beautiful live than on cd. He did so well with the whole audience, the performance got me love him so much more and I wish to see him live again. His vocals are so stunning and I hope he will gain more and more popularity over time.
Another thing I like a lot is that he is collaborating with a lot of artists. You will find a good amount of songs feat. him and the best is that all the time he still wrote the lyrics on his own or together with the other artist. That's pretty awesome.

#01 AKLO

Favorite Songs: RGTO, Super Chingon, Outside The Frame, Beast Mode, Chaser, Under The Cliff  feat. Jay'ed, We Go On feat. SALU & H.teflon, MF Problem

Example:

If you know AKLO you know he is an Rapper. It's quite a change to all the other artists on this list but I honestly love japanese rap or hip hop a lot and AKLO happens to be my absolutly favorite. I started to like him back when he released RGTO. I came accross the video on youtube, I thought it looked like the Crows Zero movie and therfore wanted to check it out and loved the song right away. Fun fact is that at this time I didn't like the part of SALU, who now is one of my favorite japanese rapper. Up until today RGTO is still my favorite song of him and I see myself as a granny still listening to this song. XD
Of course I had to check out all his other songs too and what should I say I love pretty much all songs of him. Especially his album "The Package" is played by me many times. I love his voice and his sence for music is so extremly good. He writes all of his songs on his own and since he is half mexican, he also includes english and spanish in his songs, which gives them a special touch. I especially love him rapping in spanish, that sounds freakin nice. I am always looking forward to new releases of him.

Was your favorite in this list? If not who is your favorite?

Shimizu Shota uploaded more music videos to his VEVO channel

VEVO accounts on Youtube are the best that can happen to us international JPop fans, because they make all the music videos availible that channels like Sony Music make availible only within Japan. There is already a good handful of japanese artists that have Vevo accounts like XOX, Da-iCE, DISH// and Shimizu Shota. I was happy when these got up but some don't upload all their music videos, which is kind of sad but hopefully with time moving on they will add more. Today more music videos of Shimizu Shota have been uploaded which makes me really happy. Not because I can't watch them otherwise but because know I can show them to more people. Here are the ones he uploaded today.

What do you think about Vevo channels? Did you know these songs of him?

What I think about Shimizu Shotas WHITE album...

Today I recieved my copy of Shimizu Shotas new album WHITE. I am a huge fan of him so this will be quite bias but I will write down my honest opinion about the songs.

01. dance with me.  ♥♥♥♡♡

This song has SO much potential, if just his voice wouldn't sound so extremly mechanical. I disliked this so much when listening to the song the first time. After a few more listens I don't mind it that much anymore but really WHY...!!! Besides his mechanical voice, this song is pretty cool. I love the kinde dark feeling and the heavy deep vibrating bass sound. I think this song will grow on me the more I listen to it.

02. Good Life ♥♥♥♥♥

I love this song so much since it was released as a single. It's a song that get's me in a good mood, even thought it's not one of these happy go lucky songs. I like his rap in this song a lot, thought his voice is much more lovable. The whole song has a very nice flow to it.

03. Friday ♥♥♥♥♥

This is the other song that has been released as a single before. I love this song SO much too and I love to singe the refrain. Such an amazing song that really get's me in weekend mood. XD

04. (I'm  fine) ♥♥♥♥♥

OMG that rap in the beginning is so nice, in generell his voice is so nice. I also like the snipping and clapping he put into this song. That gives it even more of a nice feeling.

05. Silver & Gold ♥♥♥♥♡

This song again has a nice flow to it. However it's a pretty slow-paced song and therefor can get boring easily. Thought for me, gosh damn it, just his stunning vocals would make me repeat this song for hours and not get bored of it. XDDDD

06. 踊り続けよう (Odori Tsuzukeyou) ♥♥♥♥♥+

I would say this is my favorite song of this album because I loved it right from listening to it only once. The song starts off with a deep vibrating bass sound (similar to "dance with me.") which already gave me goosebumps right from the start. I also love all the sounds he put into it. The whole feeling and flow of this songs get me to dance along. Honestly I LOVE this song SO much.

07. Range Rover ♥♥♥♥♡

This song is super beautiful and could definitly have been longer then these not even two minutes. The "Range Rover" part is a little weird thought, because it makes you feel you listen to a well done advertising song. XD

08. Beautiful ♥♥♥♥♥

Like the titel says this is also a beautiful song and I bet it has beautiful lyrics too. This song has a quite light-hearted feeling to it and his voice sounds crystal clear. I love it. I absolutly appreciate whenever he writes such nice light songs like this one.

09. alone ♥♥♥♥♡

This song really grew on me. The flow always get's me. Also the rap parts of both Shimizu Shota and SALU are very nice listening to.

10. Rainbow ♥♥♥♥♥+

Sadly this is already the last song on this album but it's an amzing last one because it leaves you with this feeling of wanting to listen to all these great songs, and his amazing voice, once again. This song is extremly beautiful, I prefer it over Beautifu because the flow of this is a little nicer and his vocals are so perfect in this. My heart is beating so fast listening to this 'cause I am falling I love with his voice again and again. This guy get's me melting!! XD

Overall: ♥♥♥♥♥+

My overall opinion on this album should be really clear. Like I said I am biased but he really is a stunning artist that wrote the music and lyrics to all of these songs on his own, he arranged them all by himself and half of the songs have even been recorded by himself. Shimizu Shota is not only an extremly talanted vocalist but musician overall. If I had to choose one artist I would like to meet once, it would definitly be him. I am drifting away... So for the album why I love it soooooooo much is this great flow that you will find in all songs from the first to the last. Non of these songs feel like they don't belong there, he seems to really have thought about the order of the tracks. There is some faster songs and slow songs and many mid-tempo songs, it really is a great mix. If you like his music, you will love this and if you don't please give it a try. He deserves so much more attention.

Did you listen to this album?

Tracklist for Shimizu Shota's WHITE album has been announced

Shimizu Shota will release his 9th original album on June 27th. Today he announced the tracklist for his upcoming album WHITE. Besides Friday and Good Life, which have been single releases, there is also going to be bunch of new songs. Here is the tracklist.

1. dance with me.
2. Good Life
3. Friday
4. (I'm Fine)
5. Silver & Gold
6. 踊り続けよう
7. Range Rover
8. Beautiful
9. alone feat.SALU
10. Rainbow

I am a little sad that it's only 10 songs. That's the least he ever released on an album. However he is releasing very regularly and is writen the lyrics and music to most of his songs on his own, so I don't have anything to complain about. It's just since he is my favorite singer I can't get enough of his music. XD As for the songs I am super excited for his collaboration song with SALU, since I like SALU a lot too and I am already sure it's going to be a lit song.
For now I am looking forward to a new music video being released. I am soooooo excited.

What do you think about the tracklist?

My recent JPop favorites from 2018

Today I want to show you my personal favorites of songs that have been released this year. These are just my personal favorites that I love repeating. There are other great songs but these stick to me the most. They are in no particular order.

ANTIME - Number One

This group gets me really excited. I think they are really talented and their music turns out really well most of the time. I am sure they will have a bright futur ahead and I hope for more awesome music with the years coming. So this particular song came out in February and is the main track to their first album "VISION" which is also their first cd to be sold in stores. Number One is a fun song that get's me in a good mood whenever I hear it and it makes me want to sing along. Kauan's vocals always stunnes me. All their voices are great but his one is the most outstanding for me. Also songs about friendship are always awesome.

MADKID - Summer Time

Like the titel of the song indicates this song has a summer feeling to it and since I am a summer person and LOVE summer songs I already had the feeling I would love it before I actually listend to the song, so my expectation was really high. However I didn't got disappointed. This song really has an amazing summer feeling to it. The rap parts are amazing as always and I love the singing parts of You-ta soooo much!! His voice is so nice to the ears.

Shimizu Shota - Friday

OK I just have to love this 'cause it's a song by Shimizu Shota my absolute number one. However besides me loving him so much, this song really is so good. I tend to often hum it whenever I am alone with my thoughts. This song always stucks in my head for a long time after listening to it. The refrain is so extremly addicting. ~Friday I don't care about anything~ ❤❤❤

COLOR CREATION - CANVAS

If you have been on my blog before you might already know that I LOVE this group. All the members and all the songs they released so far and I was extremly excited when they announced to have a their major debut already. CANVAS is an amazing major debut song because it shows off their amazing vocal skills. These 5 boys are so extremly talented, especially Takuya, Rioske and KAZ. Damn it I love their voices so much but Junpei and Yuuto have great voices too. I can't wait to recieve my copies of the single to listen to the b-side tracks.

FAKY - Who We Are

I fell in love woth this song as soon as I first listend to it. This is such a beautiful song not only vocal wise but also the lyrics or especially the lyrics. This song is about being true to yourself and to not care about what others say. The song has been translated into various languages by fans (Faky asked for that on their twitter, that's also where you can find the translations). I love when songs have such important and strong messages and the way the girls sing this song makes it feel even more honest. Their vocals are stunning as always, definitly still one of the best girl groups I ever listend to.

lol - ice cream

This is another extremly addicting song. The beat, their singing and the rap part making this song so extremly good. I am following them for so long already and I am not always extremly excited by their songs but this one definitly got me. I can't even count how much I already listend to this, it really is this good.

AKLO - Dirty Work

So first of all I need to tell you guys that I love this man for already uploading the full song to Youtube even befor it is being released on itunes. I love his music a lot and I am so much looking forward to the music video for this song but so far I am just enjoying this awesome song on it's own. His rap is the best!

Swimy - Tenshi to Akuma no Uta

Also as three members Swimy doesn't disappoint. This is one awesome song that always get's me sing along (as much as I can). Both vocals harmonize well and all their solo parts sounding great too. I love this group for their music and I hope they keep on releasing good song like this one.

WHITE JAM - Amaoto

I am always stunned by how easy it seems for them to release a very good song one after the other. This is once again a song of them I deeply fell for. The reason for that may be their amazing vocals all three of them have awesome voices and I always get goosebumps listening to them. Amaoto is a beautiful song full of emotions that they transfer easily. It is once more a well done song by them.

CRAZYBOY - LOCO

I am so much in love with this song, especially the last few days. This has been on repeat for so many times and I am not getting tierd of it. I love to turn up the volume whenever this song playes. It's one of these songs that make you dance and singe along unintentionally. I really love the solo music by ELLY and think it was one of the best decisions he ever made. This song is definitly my favorite of his releases but if you never check out his music I absolutly recommend checking out all his other songs too.

Shimizu Shota to release new album in June

Shimizu Shota is going to release his 9th original album on June 27th 2018. The album will be titled "WHITE" and the picture above is the first image picture of it. As usual there will be two versions, a regular one and a dvd version. The dvd version will come with some excerpts form his "10th Anniversary Event for Family" live, which is a live he only did for his fanclub members. As for the cd tracklist nothing has been announced but I am sure Friday and Good Life will be on the album 'cause it's his latest singles.
For me personally, since I am a huge fan of his, I am extremly excited for these news. Thought because he is releasing very regular I already excpected for an album to come out sooner or later. Nevertheless I am super happy and can't wait to hold it in my own two hands and enjoy listeing to his beautiful voice. He is indeed one of the best japanese singers out there. Oh and I can't wait for a new music video coimg out as well!!

What do you think about the new album? Are you going to order it?

Shimizu Shota to release new single

Shimizu Shota is going to release his new single "Good Life" on January 24th 2018. There will be two versions of the single, a dvd one and regular one. The b-side track is called "I'm in love"and there will be a remix of Fire on the single as well. The dvd comes with the music video of Good Life only. He is my absolute number one solo artists and therefor I am super excited for this single. However the main track seems to have a lot of autotune in it again which I don't really like. Whatever I am still happy he will release something new and I started to love e.g. proud after a while as well, so I guess I will start loving the new song sooner or later anyway. XD Here is the teaser.

And here the Youtube video but it's only availibe within Japan.

Shimizu Shota to release new single

Yesterday Shimizu Shota announced his 23rd single. It will be called "Fire" and the release date is the 21.02.2017. As always it comes in both a regular version and a dvd version. B-side track will be a cover of Stevie Wonders "Knocks Me Off My Feet" and both versions will come with the acoustic version of "My Boo". The dvd comes with only the music video.
Her are the covers of the single.

The blue one is the dvd version and the orange one the regular version. It's not that awesome of a cover but whatever it's about the song anyway. A short version of the music video has been uploaded yesterday as well. Thought as usually with his videos it's only availible in Japan. I link it anyway, just in case you guys find a way to watch it or are in Japan right now.
I like the song a lot. It's very beautiful. He is rapping in it which I am not too much a fan of. I prefer when he get's some rapper that work with him for the song like e.g. SALU. Shimizus rap is not terrible but also not really that good. He should stick with singing. Here is the video.

Shimizu Shota released the MV for My Boo

Shimizu Shota will release his new single in a few days and I am super excited about it. As you might know I am huge fan of him, he is my favorite solo artist. However some days ago he released the short version of My Boo. Here is the music video.

(alternativ link: klick here)

Again he uses autotune and I am really not a fan of this but I slowly get used to it and since he seems to like it at the moment I guess I just have to bear with it. The video is nice and I really like thesong even thought he uses autotune.

New MV from Shimizu Shota released

Shimizu Shota released the short version music video for "Money" yesterday. The song will be on his new Album called "PROUD" and starres Thelma Aoyama and Salu. The video is pretty simple just showing parts of the recording but it suites the songs pace very well. Thelma Aoyama and SALU doing really well in the song, especially Aoyama standing out with her beautiful voice. Sadly Shimizu himself used autotune for his singing again! This time he used even heavier autotune then in Damage and like with Damage I don't like this. I hope that not the whole album will be with autotune, I would be super dissapointed if. Also the song is actuelly really good but the autotune kinde ruins it. Oh damn Shimizu, you have such awesome vocals and an incredible voice, why on earth using autotune. It's doesn't even sound good. However maybe you guys like it more. Here is the video.

Shimizu Shota's Damage has finally been released!!!!

This has actuelly been uplaoded on the 24th January but I just saw it now. Why oh why. However this song is really nice, not as good as e.g. byexbye but still good!! I am curious to watch the whole video and listen to the whole song because they basically showed just the beginning and end. In the video you can see some of the artists he collaborated with as well as Shinjiro Atae (of AAA). What I don't like about the song is the autotune sound it has. We all now he doesn't need autotune so why using it. Just so his voice sounds mechanical. >-< I don't like it much! However I will wait with my final opinion until I listend to the whole song! ^-^
